Peanut Butter Fudge

2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cube butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons white corn syrup
3/4 cup milk
1/2 square bakers chocolate
3 tablespoons peanut butter Combine sugar, corn syrup, salt and milk. Cook to soft ball stage. Melt chocolate and butter, pour into half of the sugar mixture. Cool before beating. Add peanut butter and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla to the rest of the sugar mixture. Mix well, pour into buttered dish. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla to chocolate mixture, beat until creamy and ready to set up. Pour over first layer.

Cheese Cake

1 cup powdered sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
12 ounces cool whip
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup margarine Mix together with mixer powdered sugar, cream cheese, cool whip and vanilla, set aside. Combine graham cracker crumbs and margarine. Put in a pie pan. Add cream cheese filling. Top with cherry pie filling or strawberries in danish dessert.

Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookies

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon hot water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
1 cube margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
2 cups oatmeal
1 package butterscotch chips or chocolate chips Cream shortening, margarine, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Orange Carrot Cookies

1 cup shortening or margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup cooked blended carrots
1 tablespoon orange rind
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
2 tablespoon orange juice Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and carrots. Add vanilla, orange juice and rind. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Bake at 350 Degrees for 15 minutes.

Good with Orange Frosting

Whole Wheat Waffles

1 1/2 to 2 Cups wheat flour
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
milk to make batter
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon shortening
2 teaspoons sugar Mix together and cook in a waffle maker.

Fudge Oatmeal Bars

Cookie:
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups oatmeal

Filling:
1 package 12 ounce chocolate chips
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt Mix brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour, sugar, salt, and oats. Press 2/3 of cookie mixture in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Heat chocolate chips, condensed milk and butter until melted. Stir in nuts and salt, spread over cookies. Drop the remaining oatmeal on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

Orange Jell-O Salad

2 small packages orange Jell-O
1 small can crushed pineapple
1/2 pound grated cheese
1 medium cool whip Set Jell-O until syrupy. Add other ingredients. Chill until set.

Candied Popcorn

1 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup of chopped nut or slivered almonds
2 cubes margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
9 quarts, popped popcorn Cook sugar, corn syrup, and margarine to a soft ball stage. Add vanilla, coconut and nuts. Pour over popped popcorn. Stir until all popcorn is coated with syrup.

Chocolate Marshmallow Roll

6 squares semi-sweet chocolate
2 tablespoons margarine
1 package colored marshmallows
12 crushed graham crackers
2 egg beaten
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup nuts Melt together chocolate and margarine, add egg. While hot add powdered sugar, nuts, marshmallows. Make into rolls. Roll in graham crackers. Refrigerate and slice.

Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups pumpkin
2 teaspoons soda
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup water
1 cup oil
3 1/2 - 4 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup nuts
1 teaspoon cloves Mix sugar, oil, water, and eggs. Beat well. Add pumpkin. Mix in dry ingredients. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
