French Bread (good for fry bread)

2 tablespoons yeast
1 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
4 cups flour Mix together flour and east. Add sugar, salt, shortening. Add water, mix together and knead, let rise once. Put in pans, let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. For fry bread, either roll dough out and cut into squares, or stretch it in your hands. Heat oil, cook on both sides. Makes great Navajo Taco's
